Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. She is a reporter covering everything including NASA as well as Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of Space Tourism. Kristin is the mother of two NASA astronauts. Kristin has grown up with the space industry and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. In that period, Kristin also covered presidential impeachment proceedings as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and efforts by two administrations to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. The reporter also traveled extensively with the president and vice president and was a part of a classified visit to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the CBS network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. With her experience behind the camera, Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014, which specialized in making documentary-style films for clients of corporate nature, including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism at Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their three-year-old daughter.
